Private Landlords

Services for Private Landlords

This part of the website has been designed specifically for Private Landlords, who collectively provide one-third of all GB tenancies. Bill Irvine is retained by the National Residential Landlords’ Association (NRLA) to assist its members who have an interest in providing accommodation to tenants, at least partially reliant, on claiming financial assistance, through Local Housing Allowance and, more recently, Universal Credit.

The site focuses primarily on Universal Credit, from both tenant & landlords’ perspectives and provides access to all associated legislation, DWP Guidance, case law, benefits calculator, Q & A forum, and ensures all members are kept up to date with the many new developments, twists and turns, that occur on an all too frequent basis, with this new, work-in-progress benefit.

As well as Universal Credit, we cover developments that may arise in relation to other welfare reforms, including, Tax Credits, Benefits Cap, Disability Living Allowance & Personal Independence Payments, with a particular focus on how these can beneficially assist tenants maximise their entitlement and avoid rent arrears.

Since August 2013, access to the site has been through registered membership which includes an annual fee of £80 for 1 user or £120 for multiple users. Details can be obtained by completing our contact page.
